Start Playing Again
How about turning off the TV for once, or periodically, and brewing a nice cup of tea? In the colder months, a spoonful of wine with cinnamon, cloves, star anise, and honey, served with a wedge of lemon, is the perfect brew. And as the days begin to shorten and dusk slowly begins to fall toward afternoon, gather around the table with family and friends and bring out the old games.
And watch out! Having young children at home is not a requirement.

5. Cards

7. Horse racing and betting
.

8. Dice

.
It is helpful to keep these games in one place so that they can be played regularly on long winter nights or rainy days. This set, in turn, can be treasured for grandchildren when they play with children, adults, or when grandparents want to pull their grandchildren away from the screen! Can you feel the power of your smart phone weakening?
