EET in the Czech Republic
Electronic sales records have been introduced in the Czech Republic for several years. Specifically since 2016. The main reason for the introduction was to prevent tax cuts. This means that each trader needs to keep a record of the sales that have been properly financial sent. If it is not registered, the entrepreneur faces considerable fines. Merchants are required to issue receipts or tax documents within 48 hours of the sale of goods or services. The introduction of electronic sales records took place in several waves.
The first wave of 2016, namely the 12th month, concerned all entrepreneurs in the catering and accommodation sector. All restaurants, hotels, guest houses and other enterprises of this type had to install the necessary equipment to register the sale on the day. It is also necessary to work with financial management to make identifiers available for traders to set up this system. The first wave of implementation was also negatively affected. Many entrepreneurs stopped their activities because the introduction system was economically burdensome and could jeopardize trade. But for successful restaurants and hotels, for example, this was a huge hit on the financial side of the enterprise. The 2nd wave of electronic sales records was launched in 2017/3 and targeted retail and wholesale sales. Here, first of all, there were great demands on it technicians. Large stores sold to end customers It hardly touched on the financial side. On the contrary, some small stores were again forced to close their business due to the high cost. When setting up a business, it was necessary to take into account additional financial costs than before. This often discourages start-ups. The 3rd wave of the Eet, and at the same time the 4th wave, is planned for the next 5 months. In particular, doctors, accountants, lawyers and veterinary activities do not avoid it.
