BUY A SLEEPING BAG
Consider the purchase of a sleeping bag carefully. Not only is a sleeping bag part of privacy in a tent shelter, but comfort is important. There are two types of sleeping bags to choose from: blanket sleeping bags, which can be unzipped and used as a conventional blanket, and mummy sleeping bags. The latter conforms to the shape of the human body and provides good insulation, but some people are concerned about being stuck inside. A compromise is the oval sleeping bag, which offers a little more space and better insulation than the blanket sleeping bag.
There are also sleeping bags that can be connected together to form a single unit. However, the left and right parts must be connected (with different zippers) and must be sleeping bags of the same category (outdoor type, extreme type, etc.). The connection of the two sleeping bags must be tested beforehand.
The material of the sleeping bag\’s padding is essential for a comfortable sleep. Synthetic fiber or down.
Synthetic hollow fibers and microfibers
Synthetic fibers are the most commonly used sleeping bag materials today. They are either microfibers or special hollow fibers. Each fiber has different properties. Microfibers
are used in smaller sleeping bags, where the emphasis is on being lightweight and taking up less space in the luggage. However, they do not provide sufficient heat retention, making them suitable for warm summer nights and trips to Mediterranean regions (e.g., Italy, Croatia). The heating capacity of hollow fibers is much higher than that of microfibers, and such sleeping bags can be boldly used outdoors even in cold weather.
All synthetic fibers are easy to maintain, machine washable, can be used in damp environments, and are suitable for people with allergies (unlike down sleeping bags)
Down sleeping bags
Down sleeping bags are the warmest, keeping you warm in extremely cold climates. The disadvantage, however, is that the padding is easily damaged by moisture and is generally very difficult to maintain. They should not be machine washed or hand washed under any circumstances. The quality (calorific value) of a down sleeping bag is measured by CUIN; the higher the number, the warmer the sleeping bag (CUIN is the ability of the filling to occupy the maximum volume in a defined space)
