Ionizing Room Air
What are those ions? No, it has nothing to do with the junction itself. An ion is an atom that has lost its charge. That is why it is called a plus. [If there is a plus, there must be a minus. Yes, it is. An atom that has gained an electric charge, that is a negative ion. Enough physics. For a thorough analysis, we need to go back to school again. [In nature, everything is almost in equilibrium and so are our ions. Of course, it is different everywhere. Concentrations are different in the city and in the forest. Now, let me give you some numbers. There are 100 ions in the city and 500 in the forest, per cubic centimeter, needless to say. In the aforementioned forest, it\’s 10 times that. After a storm or rain, for example, it is 100 times more. Don\’t believe me? Let\’s recalculate.
Positive ions are bad and can cause many problems. For example, they are caused by the use of synthetic resins, faulty filters , televisions, printers, etc. These bad things get into the blood and muscles and cause problems. So we don\’t like the “good guys” in this case and want to strangle them. If only they had necks.
So we make friends with negative ions. These have their natural source in running water and trees. For example, waterfalls. In waterfalls, for example, there are far more of them than in storms. Negative ions are produced by electrostatic discharge. And that is how they are “generated” in the home. Not in the literal sense, of course.
Thus, ionization of the air is very beneficial to our bodies. For this reason, any air purifier can or should be able to ionize the air. If you have any problems at home or at work, try it at a store where you can return it . If the health problem goes away, then it is clear that the air is the cause and should be left alone. If not, the cause is elsewhere and a specialist should be consulted. In most cases, however, it is the positive ions that cause headaches, fatigue, etc. So give it a try.
