What care is needed for leather shoes
When you meet an interesting person on the street and are taken aback by their appearance and attire, nothing is more disgusting than seeing dirty, worn or torn shoes.
Wet Shoes – If the snow has soaked your shoes, use the old method our grandmothers knew. We put old newspapers inside the soaked shoes to absorb the moisture. However, this method is not recommended. However, this method is not recommended, because the ink is quite aggressive and traces of it can be absorbed into the skin.
Patent leather – Although very popular, especially among women, the stumbling block is often the selection of the right size. Choose carefully, preferably thoroughly, as they hold a stable shape and do not stretch. Cleaning is relatively easy; just wipe with a sponge, soapy water, and a microfiber kitchen towel. Varnish does not like frost, so if the boots are put on 15 minutes before going out and allowed to acclimate to the shape of a normal temperature foot in a heated room, the varnish will not flake off in the cold. Also, do not take them off as soon as you get home, but wait a while to allow the varnish to acclimate to room temperature.
Suede– Also known as buffed leather. Unfortunately, this is very difficult to care for, especially after washing in hard water, which leaves stains, prevents the application of creams, and makes any stains more visible. For new boots, an impregnation process works well, but for older boots, try a product with color pigments to renovate suede leather.
Smooth Leather – Our ancestors preferred shoes made of smooth material that soaked up cream well. Twice a month, a thin coat applied with a fine cloth and re-polished with a soft brush was sufficient. During the socialist era, the boots looked like new for years, as many ex-servicemen who had to polish their military boots and half boots day in and day out will testify.
