5 Tips on How to Care for Your Scooter

Wipe wheels, including bearings, with a dry cloth. Visually check that the bearings and wheels are in good condition. Then lubricate with petroleum jelly or oil.
If the bearings are damaged, they must be replaced. The same applies to casters, which should not have excessively worn surfaces. Inflatable wheels should be inflated regularly.

Visually check parts for damage.
Manually check for a functioning spring shaft that returns to its original position when the brake is released.
If the brake cable is frayed, it must be cleaned to prevent damage.
Clean and lubricate the brake shoes.
4. Check the folding mechanism
Wipe the folding mechanism with a dry cloth. Lubricate moving and friction parts.
Check the function of the quick release screw. If the bolt is not properly tightened or has play, it is recommended to disassemble the bolt and visually inspect it for any damage.

If you feel any rubbing, loosen the head assembly and pull out the handle.
Wipe everything down with a dry rag.
On the other hand, if you feel there is play in the handlebar, try tightening the head assembly. Visually check the headstock bearings. If it looks OK, lubricate it and reinstall the steering rod screws.
